I'm new here and after seeing some really awesome stuff I was hoping to get a feel myself for what the process requires. This is one of my favorite pieces I've done, an ACEO set of paintings. Looking through my pieces I realize that one problem I see myself is the "omnilighting" though in my larger pieces that's less of an issue. I think the biggest critique I have for myself is to use the white more judiciously, and darken the shadows a little on the puggerfly.

This was meant to be a more whimsical piece.

I like it! But I'm not the best... Anyways, welcome and I hope to see more of your excellent art here!

Thank you for the warm welcome ^_^

It's quite adorable, my only pointer is the background is roughly the same shade as the figure, making it stand out very little. Mabe a blue or purple would do nicely?

I like it!
(tho, im new too, so I don't count)
but, i agree, it needs to stand out a bit.

Aww! This is so adorable! I think that this is a wonderful piece. The idea is very unique and that is great. Most people want something that's fresh. I do agree that maybe the background should be darkened slightly, then you're light colored pug will really stand out. Great work!

I agree with the above sentiments, the background and figures seem to blend a bit too much.
It's a wonderful concept you have there, and that cocoon makes me giggle uncontrollably!
